City Girl...I'm not sure!

Ok, so I arrived to the East Coast, WAshington D.C. that is on Sunday. It has been a crazy time! So, I got all settled in on Sunday and it was nice. It was especially nice because I left Utah that morning with a JAcket, Cardigan, and shirt on.  By the time I got to D.C. I took off my coat and cardigan and just had my t-shirt on and I was still hott! It felt good though, but the humidity is always a hard one for me. Ok, so Monday I wanted to get started with work and get into the swing of things. So, since I worked at my office for a whole summer before I figured I'd easily be able to find my way. I got on the metro and rode two stops thinking I knew what I was doing. Well, I was wrong. I got off two stops too early and I didn't realize it at the time. So, I spent about half an hour before I called work for some help.  I had a bit of a pride issue. Well, they told me the address and I was like ok I can do this I can get there.  Well, I ended up walking for another hour before I found a security guard and asked directions. They said I was really far away. So, I foudn the metro again.  Turns out I had walked backwards to the stop I had already passed on the Metro. So, I finally made it to my correct stop got off and knew right where to go. The thing was from all the walking around in my high heels my feet hurt like crazy and I had huge blisters on the sides of my feet where they had been rubbing. So, I had to go to Payless and buy me some flip flops.  It was definitley an eventful morning. So, I got to work and they just laughed at me. I just spent a few hours there and came home and got to work out and be with my aunt and the kids. We went to the mall ate some chipotle and found my little cousin a prom dress. It was a good time. So, the next day it was back to work. This time I had a little better luck except the bus took forever because of road construction, so I was 45 minutes later than I planned on.  However, I slept the whole time so it wasnt bad. My aunt and I have been working out like crazy the past few days. My whole body hurts, that p90x is a killer, but I love working out and feeling like I'm accomplishing something. Anyway, then today on the metro it was SOO packed there were people all around me and touching me. I had to hold on above me and so my already sore arms became even sorer from the back and forth motions, but Ill take whatever additional exercise I can get! For the packed metro alone I would say makes me not a huge City Girl. I don't like being jam packed. I also do not like that you have to pay for EVERYTHING! Parking $4.50 a day Metro: $5 a day. It really adds up. Yes, i'm making a lot more, but geez..they drain you. However, I do love the fact that there are people all around me. I love to look at them and analyze them and their lives. I make conclusions about how their life is, it's fun.  I was thinking how exciting it is for me, because in Pocatello I go somewhere I'm bound to know someone. Here, I don't know a soul when I walk down the street.  I thought about how neat and crazy that is. However, I feel bad for the people who do this day in and day out.  I think it could start to get a little lonely. Anyway, I am loving life out here as always, sometimes I don't feel adequate or City enough to be here, but I love this experience. I just feel so blessed to have a job and to have the opportunities I do. I mean I walked off the metro and here was a normal looking family man holding a sign that said "I need a Job"  Could we see anymore echoes of the Great Depression? Anyway, life is crazy, but overall amazing. I am just really blessed to have the family and friends that I do.
